THE MOST SCENIC ROUTES

Retrace the iconic paths of Bagni di Bormio Monumental Park for an invigorating walk in nature where you can admire unique places steeped in history:

  • Fonte S.Carlo or Degli Occhi, a fountain characterised for its ochre-coloured water, used as eye drops in thee past.
  • Fonte Pliniana, historically used as a drink to cure swelling, owes its name to Pliny the Elder, the first author to mention the Bormio Baths.
  • Castellanella, an industrial plant dating back to 1873 for the production of mineral water from the Pliniana spring.
  • Sasso Garibaldi, the point from which Garibaldi set off in 1859, leading the assault against the Habsburgs to liberate the Bagni Vecchi.
